The Button Box

October 6, 2020 By

Bob Snope

Bob Snope is the Chief Tuner/Technician at The Button Box, a full-service free-reed shop in Sunderland, Massachusetts, owned and managed by Doug Creighton. Bob oversees the repair of all concertinas and accordions that come into the shop as well as the final adjustment and tuning of all R. Morse & Co. concertinas, which have been manufactured at The Button Box since 1999.  Bob was hired by Rich Morse, who founded the store and designed the concertinas that bear his name, in 1991. Since then, he has been involved in every stage of the production of the R. Morse “Ceili” Anglo, “Albion” English, and “Beaumont” duet concertina models.

Testimonials

Former Student

Overall, I think the retreat was great. It truly is a 'retreat', i.e., you get a chance to get away from it all for a good solid weekend and enjoy learning new things, meeting new people, and having a great time. Good job to the organizers and the people that put the effort into this thing.  Keep it up!
