“Nuala Kennedy, is a critically acclaimed and award-winning touring and recording artist. She sings, plays flute, whistle and piano, and is a writer of songs and tunes. Her work draws on songs and tunes from both the Irish and Scottish traditions and often blends sources and influences with a studied understanding of history and transmission, but she’s always out to find ways to make them sound like today.” The Irish Echo 2016
Nuala has worked with many of the top names in Irish music, and as a producer on many albums including three full length recordings for Compass Records. She also enjoys teaching flute and song, and academic research – holding an M.Mus with distinction and PGCE with distinction, writing her thesis on Dyspraxia.
Nuala now lives in Ennis, County Clare with her Appalachian singer husband A. J. Roach and their two young children. She is currently recording and due to begin a major European tour with The Alt who are launching their second album, and the legendary fiddler Kevin Burke.
