The Lone Star Céilí Band was formed at the first O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat and has played every year since. At times, it has been made up solely with students, and at other times with instructors or a combination of the two. Live music and dancing make great partners, so be sure and come to the Lone Star Céilí on Friday night after the Instructors Concert and have a listen or dance.
Overall, I think the retreat was great. It truly is a ‘retreat’, i.e., you get a chance to get away from it all for a good solid weekend and enjoy learning new things, meeting new people, and having a great time. Good job to the organizers and the people that put the effort into this thing. Keep it up!
