
Liz Hanley (fiddle, vocals), grew up in an Irish-American family in Boston, learning fiddle from her dad Andy Hanley. She studied classical violin and voice at NYU, and her repertoire spans multiple genres from traditional Irish and American to rock and classical. Hanley performs regularly with Mick Moloney and The Green Fields of America. Her debut solo album The Ecstasy of St. Cecilia came out in 2013 and features an international lineup of traditional folk players such as Jefferson Hamer, Cleek Schrey, Eamon O’Leary, Brendan Dolan, and Mick Moloney. Liz also tours the US and Europe regularly with progressive folk rock band Frogbelly and Symphony.
