
Janis Deane, M.Ed., CCC-SLP is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and has 40 years of experience working with patients who have voice disorders, swallowing disorders, chronic cough and vocal cord dysfunction. She specialized in working with singers and those requiring voice restoration following total laryngectomy.
Janis is a classically trained singer, but also an avid instrumentalist. She has played Irish music for over 30 years on Irish flute, whistle, harp, uilleann pipes, and concertina and is a member of the TIMES Band & Session Players. Janis teaches private lessons on flute, whistle and uilleann pipes. She taught at the North Texas School of Irish Music since its inception in 2012. She has served on the Board of Directors of the School of Irish Music and the Traditional Irish Music Education Society (TIMES).
