Dan Lowery is originally from Dallas, Texas and has been playing Irish music for over twenty years. After learning the tinwhistle and flute at a young age and becoming heavily involved in the local Dallas Irish music scene, he began to travel around the US and Ireland studying traditional music. He eventually moved to New York City, where he spent a decade playing the bar and session circuit. He went on to play numerous residencies at famed Irish music bars John D. McGurk’s and Raglan Road, as well as spending several years on the road with Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfetones. More recently he has performed as a resident musician at Disney World Epcot, with the Broadway musical Come From Away, and with the Colin Farrell Band and Warbelow Range. He is currently based in St. Louis, Missouri, where he continues to make a living playing and teaching music.
