Caoimhe Ní Fhlatharta is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from the village of Ardmore in Connemara. Growing up in a village steeped in the Irish culture, Caoimhe developed a love for the Irish tradition early on in life. Following in the footsteps of her three brothers, she began tin whistle lessons and learned her first sean-nós song at the age of four. Broadening her musical abilities in later years, she picked up the fiddle and concertina while at the same time developing the sean-nós singing style native to her area and experimenting with other genres.
Caoimhe has won many county and provincial titles and numerous prizes at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann including two All-Ireland titles for both sean-nós singing and whistle slow airs. She has appeared on various stage and television productions including Other Voices, The Heart of Saturday Night and The RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Alongside her family, Caoimhe has entertained audiences around the country since the age of twelve. She has been privileged to share the stage with many fine musicians, learning valuable lessons in the art of performance and amassing a vast repertoire of songs, ballads and tunes over the years. Caoimhe has recently graduated with a BA in Irish Music from the Irish World Academy.
