Bob Moore

Around the year 2000, Bob Moore’s children were involved with the Creative Arts Theater school where he learned about the show Riverdance. He watched it and fell in love with Irish music. He particularly took notice of button accordionist Martin O’Conner and felt he might be able to play one someday. He bought a Hayden Duet concertina and found a local session at a pub in Arlington, Texas. When that venue went out of business, he started a session at J. Gilligan’s and remains one of the longest running sessions in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Around 2003, he started playing the C#D button accordion and, around 2005, he became the primary driver for the O’Flaherty’s Irish Music Retreat bringing students and instructors from DFW Airport to the retreat site. He is still playing a C#/D/C three row button accordion and driving retreat attendees. He also performs with TIMES Session Players once a month at the Celt Irish Pub in McKinney.
