Angelika Eleni is a performer from Dallas, TX with over two decades of experience in competitive Irish dance and music performance, along with other folk dance traditions. As a studio artist at the McAllen Creative Incubator, she established McAllen Irish Arts to develop an Irish traditional arts community in the Rio Grande Valley region through lessons, free céilí workshops, regular music sessions, showcases, and founded the annual South Texas Irish Festival. Angelika has happily delved into the virtual world by organizing live stream events, such as the McAllen Virtual Art Walk (2020-21), to share art, music, and dance and to promote local business and artists. She is a committee member of the Texas “Music Friendly Community” McAllen chapter, a board member for the Traditional Irish Music Education Society (T.I.M.E.S.), and the Development Manager for the Valley Symphony Orchestra.
