Lexie Boatright

Lexie Boatright is an award winning Concertina and Harp player and member of the breakout Irish Trad band, The Consequences.  A sensitive and exciting performer, Lexie has performed widely on the festival circuit and taught at top summer schools across the USA. 

Lexie’s concertina playing is known most for her vocal-inspired phrasing over a rich foundation of chording with relentless lift. In addition to performing, she is also well known for her teaching style, bringing both the harp and the concertina comfortably to students of all ages and levels with a keen use of music theory and psychology to help each student access comfort and understanding on their path to fluency. 

Lexie founded and directed The Baltimore Irish Music School for many years where she mentored the young students of Washington DC and Maryland on all instruments. Today she teaches online and out of her home in Baltimore, Maryland when she isn’t on tour with The Consequences.
