Terms of Agreement

Between the Traditional Irish Music Education Society (hereafter referred to as TIMES), and the named individual entered above (hereafter referred to as CLASS ASSISTANT) regarding the O’Flaherty Irish Music Retreat (hereafter referred to as RETREAT).

1. CLASS ASSISTANT agrees to be engaged as an independent contractor and will record melodies for instructional classes and provide performances for the RETREAT during the period October 18th – November 8th, 2020.
   
   
2. TIMES agrees to pay an honorarium fee of $1,200.00 to be paid CLASS ASSISTANT by the closing of the RETREAT on Sunday, November 8th, 2020 for CLASS ASSISTANT’S services listed below.
   1. Videotape and/or audio record selected melodies for nine core class lessons as determined by the bodhran, bouzouki and guitar class instructors. 
   2. Present a one-hour live enrichment class OR “informance” using provided conferencing platform.
   3. Videotape a concert performing solo or in collaboration with others not exceeding 10 minutes and your performance for the finale that will be combined with all of the instructors.

3. TIMES will provide an online space where CLASS ASSISTANT’S merchandise may be promoted.  CLASS ASSISTANT will submit descriptions and other appropriate content for their merchandise with links to online vendors/partners where merchandise may be purchased. TIMES will help promote CLASS ASSISTANT merchandise but not process sales or fulfill orders.
   
   
4. CLASS ASSISTANT gives permission to TIMES and its representatives to photograph, videotape and record CLASS ASSISTANT’S classes, performances and interviews for its use in the marketing of RETREAT or for its educational purposes. Unless CLASS ASSISTANT objects in writing, such recordings of performances may also be used for fundraising through CD or video sales and CLASS ASSISTANT’S concert(s) may be streamed live to help raise needed funds to defray the cost of the RETREAT. 
    
5. CLASS ASSISTANT agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless TIMES, its volunteers and managers, its board of directors, and other representatives, from and against any and all actions, costs, claims, losses, expenses or injuries arising out of the acts of CLASS ASSISTANT related to CLASS ASSISTANT’S role before, during and after the RETREAT including liability for taxes, insurance and workers compensation.

By signing below, I understand and agree to the terms of this agreement as stated above.
